A Study was done using 600 lambs. Half were fed using 2 conventional feeding bins and the other half were fed using 2 lick feeding bins. After 3 months 20 from each mob were weighed and were found to be approximately the same weight. The ratio of grain saved by using the lick feeding system was 3 – 1.
